On being Mash-Up's Runway Model during Audi Fashion Festival 2012
I can't think of any witty way to open this post, so I suppose a quick "Yes, I walked for Mash-Up during Audi Fashion Festival 2012" shall suffice.
Yes, I walked for Mash-Up during Audi Fashion Festival 2012.
Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that I would be walking on the runway of the largest fashion event in Singapore. I still can't believe it happened, and I'm so, so glad I did it.
I was only "booked" for the show a week before, and just about every self-esteem issue I had surfaced before the show:
"Omg Nat*, can I wear my falsies please??"
"Omg Nat, can you cover my flabby arms??"
"Omg Nat, can you ask the makeup artist if I can have some blusher pleaaaase."
"OMG NAT TAKING AWAY MY FALSIES IS LIKE TAKING AWAY THOR'S HAMMER. THEY'RE MY SOURCE OF POWER howcouldyouofdmhjkashdkh"
*Nathanael Ng, 1/3 of Mash-Up
Thanks for bearing with me, everybody-who-had-to-interact-with-me-in-the-past-week. ♥
My incessant whining aside, I knew deep down that I should just trust Nat. So I did*, and I had a bloody amazing time.
*After he asked the MUA to give me some blusher. Oh, and only after I sneaked off to stick on half-lashes that nobody even noticed.
Thank you Nathanael, Daniela and Shaf for sending me down that runway in your spectacular designs. It's an incredible honour, and I couldn't be happier. ♥ :')
Warning: Super long, super image-intensive post ahead!
